TV Remote
What it does
A remote control for the living-room TV, usable from any phone or laptop on the network: power, volume, channels, navigation, and media controls.
How it's built
This one started as a network experiment. Packet capture on the router plus a port scan of local devices turned up an open control port on the TV. A small web frontend was built to speak its protocol, and the physical remote became optional. The same pattern, find what's already listening, build an interface for it, opens up anything else on the network.
